Reduce Climate Change

2020 has been the hottest year on record. The melting ice caps are reducing Artic and Antarctica landscape reducing habitats and changing the eco system. Increasing the temperature of our oceans killing coral reefs and planton removing sustainability of our oceans will lead to climate change catastrophe on an unprecedented level.
Changing life style choices and living a more sustainable live will encourage others to do the same.
Removing plastic waste is a key factor in drawing down pollution and in turn increasing the natural habitat for a greener world.

Climate Change Debate

Climate Change Emergency.

This week many people across the globe have been demonstrating for climate change through actively grouping together and marching.Collectively requesting that governments create more opportunity to encourage and create more green environments, more sustainable energy. The removal of plastic waste, the need to save the destruction of our natural habitats and to stop the current tipping points of our climate change future. Protecting current species and prevent the extinction of our wildlife and bio diversity.

In order to do this we all need to change our habits, consider what we are buying and what effect our purchases are doing to the environment. Considering greener products, removing unnecessary plastics from our individual shopping bags us one way of achieving this. Using our own re usable water bottles, buying glass bottled milk, shopping locally at farm.shops and local stores that don’t use single use plastics is one simple yet important aspect if every day life. If we all make current changes we can help maintain a greener environment and reduce climate change.
The following manifesto has been created by the Marine Conservation society to lay down what is needed to improve Oceans and marine life.

Green Issues in Design

Printed Assignment for submission MA Design.
MA design printed assignment Green Issues In Design

Up cycled picture frame used to mount Lino print.
Converting part of a blog to book is quite useful if you are needing to submit a report or in my case a distinction for a Masters Degree. However you have to add the book from being to end i.e the appendix’s and bibliography ends up at the beginning when you open the blog. Year's ago you could turn a blog round to the beginning and work to the back, however I think that button has been taken off or I can’t find it!
As part of my working practice within the dissemination part of my MA in Design. I am currently
Mounting some of my previous work professionally using specific size mounting card with cellophane covering in order to test the market within print for wall Art.
Previous work mounted professionally.
Previous imagery that I have mounted using professional mounting card and cellophane envelopes traditionally used when selling photographs and print art.
Lino Print :Protect Antarctica
Mounted Lino cut using professional cardboard slip. I will try and find some picture frames upcycled to use for display. When I have enough mounted I will go to
a number of art galleries and gain some feedback. It would also be useful to find out if I could gain any commission work for any commercial venture, printed promotional work for various businesses possibly.
Photoshop development : Mounted onto white slip.

My cherub collection created in various colours for Art
Mounts, wall paper and fabrics.
Lino print: pebbles and gold leaf.

Early print with silver leaf embellishment.Organic pebble imagery.
Lino collage Birds and Agate
Two colour agate print with collage detail birds.
Lino prints and intaglio print mounted.
Various prints mounted and wrapped.
Intaglio:Protect Antarctica.
Intaglio print with water colour.
Sea Shell repeat :Mounted on white card.

Traditional Lino print sea shells.
Traditional Lino Print repeated on photoshop
Pebble and Gold leaf print.

Lino pebble print with gold leaf detail.

Up cycled stool development in progress.
Up cycled children stool covered in whale repeat velvet.
Whale tail repeat on velvet.
Velvet topped stool. Velvet needs to be stretched and stappled just waiting for stapler to be delivered. This piece would be probably be more commercial if the wood was patterned black. However I am choosing to change the fabric to a different choice, use something more suitable for a child.
carbon footprint repeat pattern.
Something a bit more organic would be more suitable. Upcycling I am experimental process to find the right choices adding funky detailing can add interest for the consumer. Their is a shop in a local village called ’The Loft that is full of vintage fabrics and amazing furnishing trims which I will visit to add an element of opulence maintaining a sustainable link by buying vintage.
The Loft textile haberdashery store Farnsfield.
Definitely worth a visit a emporium of antiques, fabrics and trims. An Aladdins cave of luxury details and fabrics ideal for upcycling projects.
